Barrel Head Clock
The same wine barrel heads as used in our barrel head tables.  Two pictures are shown of
the same clock so you can appreciate the effect light has on the medullary rays, most
prominent in the upper photo (click on it).  This is what makes quarter-sawn oak so
special.  The heads are dismantled (typically held together/aligned with double ended
nails or wooden dowels) squared up, glued up, lightly sanded and finished, to grace your
kitchen, dining or tasting room wall.  Heads are twenty-two or so inches in diameter,
clock hands are black, with a cooperage brand at twelve o'clock.  Black bolt heads are at
three, six and nine o'clock.  Quartz movement requires AA battery.
